Orange Heights Neighborhood Association (OHNA)

Founding of the OHNA
FORMATION OF THE OHNA:
On February 13, 2005, over fifty residents of Orange Heights gathered to discuss neighborhood issues and appoint members to the "Ad Hoc Committee to Re-Activate the Orange Heights Neighborhood Association". The Ad Hoc Committe produced a set of bylaws, set up a bank account, and reestablished official status with the city of Pasadena. On May 7, 2005 a second meeting of neighborhood residents ratified the bylaws and elected a Board of Directors.

Orange Heights Vision
VISION STATEMENT:
(From the OHNA Bylaws)
The residents of Orange Heights envision a safe, beautiful, multicultural neighborhood. Its residents shall show involvement and community pride by using historical and educational resources to better the Orange Heights Neighborhood Association.

Orange Heights Goals
OHNA GOALS:
The OHNA fulfills the vision statement in three ways:
  1. By organizing various events throughout the year to support the community and the bonds we share as neighbors. (See OH Events.)
  2. By maintaining awareness of important local events and issues of concern to the neighborhood and, when necessary, responding to the appropriate agencies in a forceful, unified voice.
  3. By pursuing neighborhood projects that preserve and improve the quality of life in Orange Heights.

ORANGE HEIGHTS COMMUNITY SERVICE OUTREACH:
